Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 電機工程學系碩士班 === 91 === In this paper “Ping: Hardware Implementation of an Affective Facial Expression Machine”, based on the study of the human affective representation and the cognition processes, it is to develop an emotional and sensational electromechanical system — Affective Robot (Face) and to build up the modes of the representation of affectivity for the robot. This robotic system is able to be an educational kit (module) for the researchers and students in the departments of electronics engineering, electrical engineering, information science/engineering, control, mechanical engineering, psychology, and linguistic. It is also able to promote this system module to the college and high schools. It is needed to integrate several fields of knowledge, ex. programming, logic/reasoning, signal processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, mechanical structure, psychology, and cognitive science, to well control or to represent the robot system.
