By combining digital image process technique and Kriging linear interpolation which predicted fringe order and isoclinics, this study further obtained information about stress distribution in the full field and transformed it into the bonding expansive stress resulting in concrete cracking. In addition, this study utilized the numerical model to predict and calculate the bonding expansive stress of steel during different corrosion cracking stages. The results of the measurement and calculation were consistent after comparison. This study also verified that reflection photoelasticity can be used for long-term monitoring the corrosion of reinforcement concrete structures.
