碩士 === 長庚大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 91 === This study aims at building a unified model for EMR（electronic medical record） information exchange among hospitals or clinics by using the concepts and methods of object-oriented analysis. This model attempts to introduce an XML-Based information exchange method by an UML tool. In the implementation , this research focuses on EMR’s XML Schema generation procedures（from UML model to real XML instance）. This research provides a useful reference model that helps develop an information system using UML. XML has obviously become the main store and exchange format in the future IT world. A number of applications based on XML are developed and applied. In this study, a standard model with UML that processes EMR information exchange is proposed. The model is not only for the demand of medical information exchange in Taiwan’s hospitals chains, but also for other large scale information systems, particularly where object-oriented analysis and design concepts are suitable in these circumstances. An UML tool can be applied and cooperated to implement these works perfectly. This research is expected to become a template model for the related application domain where UML is applied. Finally, it is hoped that the proposed methodologies and model can serve as a reference model for the enterprise and as a research prototype in the academic world for advanced research in the EMR exchange subjects.
