Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 91 === This thesis is to investigate the small world effect in TANET. The research goal is to collect statistics data of the TANET infrastructure, and to compare the collected results with the small world theory. In this research, we selected 26 web sites of universities or colleges in TANET as our samples. We used the tracert utility to collect and record the routing information between the 26 web sites. With the routing information, we figured out the rough backbone of the TANET. After statistical analysis, we found that the median number of all the longest paths between all node pairs is 8, which is larger than the ideal value, six, in the small world network. To further shorten connection lengths, we suggest using the random addition of extra links, based on the random graph theory, to improve the network infrastructure. Finally, the simulation results confirm our suggestion.
