Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化工與材料工程研究所 === 91 === In this study, the miscibility and thermal properties of melt-mixed poly(caprolactam)(PA 6)/ poly(hexamethylene isophthamide)(PA 6I)blends were investigated through differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), polarized optical microscopy (POM), thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and wide angle x-ray diffraction(WAXD) technique. The results showed the PA 6 / PA 6I blends were miscible over complete composition range in the amorphous state, and the Gordon-Taylor K parameter was determined to be 0.86. Additionally, the Tg values of the blends were found to be slightly deviated from the values predicated with the Fox equation. The crystallization ability of PA 6 was evidently hindered with the addition of the amorphous PA 6I. The melting temperature depression of PA 6 was also observed in the blends. Furthermore, the thermal degradation temperature of the samples increased as the PA 6I content increased. The WAXD results showed that the crystal structure of PA 6 was not affected with the addition of PA 6I.
