Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 91 === This thesis presents analysis and design of pulse electric filed systems for skin electroporation in applications of transdermal drug delivery (TDD). In the thesis, three conventional types of drug delivery methods are first reviewed, and the features of each method are briefly described for understanding the mechanism of TDD. Additionally, the mechanism of skin electroporation used for drug delivery is discussed in detaily, and a pulse voltage driving circuit configured with a function of energy recovery is designed to reduce component stresses and to improve efficiency. Furthermore, a double-layer electrode is proposed to enhance electromagnetic force for drug delivery. Finally, skin-permeation experiments are adopted to verify the feasibility of the skin electroporation in TDD applications. Equipment set-up of the skin permeation experiment is supported by the Drug Delivery Department of Industrial Technology Research Institute.
