碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊工程研究所 === 91 === The aim of this thesis is to introduce a novel authoring system, called IDWorkPlate, that combines the use of a virtual whiteboard as an authoring tool with better authoring features and provides a preprocess stage for producing quality lecture content in a format that can be delivered asynchronously over the network. Via the proposed system, the author can import the prepared lecture materials beforehand into the authoring environment and annotate by handwriting on the virtual whiteboard to further make explanations of lecture content in a similar way as conventional teaching manner in the classroom on the chalkboard. After the pre-authoring stage, the authoring content can be transformed into an equivalent Microsoft PowerPoint file and integrated into computer assisted instructions for improving and realizing distance learning.
