碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育研究所 === 91 === The research is talking about the resources, objectives and subject of the current literacy material for foreign brides in Chia-yi County. We hope the research will be helpful for the teachers to design and program the literacy material. (一) In addition to the teaching material design by the teachers themselves, the supplement provided by Chia-yi County government for primary adult education are also important materials for reference. The content of teaching material is based on the primary literacy. But due to the unclear objectives, the materials are not designed systematically and gradually. (二) The literacy material for foreign brides in Chia-yi County Emphasize the language studying. There are lost of rhymed compositions in the textbooks. But we don’t think this kind of curriculum designs are suitable for the foreign brides to improve their speaking abilities. Besides, we think the teaching materials should put lots of emphases on the family roles the foreign brides play. (三) Teachers think the studying of the National Phonetic Symbols for Mandarin are helpful for the foreign brides to study Chinese. The different studying abilities between the students are big problems for teachers to choose the teaching material. So most teachers hope that the government could provide uniform teaching material and supplement. (四) In comparison with the other topics such as “ Function of Clothing”, “Comprehension of Washing Label”, “Local History”, “Folk songs”, “Myth”, we think the topic about “Family Relationships” is most important of all.
