From the experimental results pertaining to the load testing of CFRP-repaired RC beams which wrapped U-jacket improve on compressive strength, flexural strength and ductility. All tests are discussed in several styles of U-jacket with different widths, sections, full-U or half-U; and several styles of CFRP plate with different layers and lengths. This study also employed reflection photoelasticity to further obtained information about stress distribution in the full field on the U-jacket CFRP plate.
