Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 應用物理研究所 === 91 === In order to improve the resolution of NCEP/RSM(National Centers for Environmental Prediction / Regional Spectral Model)and reduce the computing time consumption simultaneously, we use statistical parameters to build up a nested strategical grading skill in this study. We apply this nested strategical grading skill to get an optimal nested strategy, which will spend the least computing time, get the optimal results, and be suitable for a variety of weather patterns. The main weather patterns in Taiwan area can be classified into the stable and convective atmospheres roughly. We examine the feasibility of the nested strategical grading skill for these two weather patterns. Finally, we create the aviation route weather forecasting products to foresee the possible hazardous weathers existing in the atmosphere in order to improve the aviation safety.
The study results reveal that, for the stable atmosphere, the optimal nested strategy are GABD(GSM→RSMA→RSMB→RSMD)and GAD, but for the convective atmosphere, the optimal nested strategy are GABCD and GABD. Since the optimal nested strategy must be suitable for a variety of weather patterns, so the really optimal nested strategical for these two weather patterns is GABD only.
In the aspects of the aviation route weather forecasting products, the study results show that the model can predict the wind shear and turbulence around Taiwan and neighboring area efficiently. The turbulence predicted by the model is very reasonable after evaluating the Richardson number. In addition to the wind shear and turbulence, there are more information about hazardous weather included in the aviation route weather forecasting products. It will be helpful for the aviation safety.
