Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊傳播學系 === 90 === This research intends to develop a real-time multimedia system which meets the criteria of synchronous learning, game theory, and problem-solving skills. It will explore how the online synchronous services can be provided through multimedia authoring tools, the synchronous functions for implementing related learning theories (such as constructivism, situated learning, cooperative learning), and math learning games. Games can make learning even more fun. “Mancala” and “Dots and Boxes” are two typical board games about math, they both meet the criteria of the game theory. Participants can develop strategy decision abilities under the competitive situations. Through real-time chat, participants can also discuss the strategies they adopted and enhance their problem-solving skills. The main purpose of this research is to provide a reference and possible solutions for further study about real time multimedia-based activities and synchronous learning on the internet.
