Besides, there is full of combustible material ( such as books…etc. ) inside any place of the campus. For these reasons, the fire safety evaluation of campus is becoming more important. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the new campus building of Da-Kan primary school under hypothetical fire accidents. Two softwares, CFAST ( fire zone model ) and PHOENICS ( fire field model ), are utilized to predict dynamic responses of the energy and smoke transport within the building. Finally, the different egress paths, successful probability of evacuation and possible number of the students that may get hurt are reasonably estimated.
