The accuracy of conventional measurement of antenna radiation pattern in chamber using frequency-domain technique is dependent on the dimensions of chamber and the quality of its absorbing materials. One of the main contributory causes of error in chamber is the reflection of waves from the surfaces of the chamber. Time-domain techniques make it possible to separate the direct signal from a multitude of waves reflected from the chamber walls. This thesis describes the antenna time-domain measurement technique, time-domain gating, the error sources, and the results of some experimental studies.
