碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機工程學系 === 90 === Optimization of a propagation model based on a local measurement experiment in Taiwan is reported in this thesis. This optimization procedure will be performed throughout Taiwan island in the future from region to region, and form a database of optimized propagation models that will be employed in the future cell planning of mobile communications. Distinguishing from previous works that optimize a particularly selected model such as Hata or Lee models, the presented work considers a general form of propagation model concluded from several frequently used models and provides more freedoms in the procedure of optimization. Since measured data is employed to minimize the overall deviations, more accurate prediction of path loss due to wave propagation in this geometrical environment can be obtained. The optimized model is integrated into an existing cell planning tool to evaluate its validity and performance. Comparisons of simulation results with measured data and well-known models will be presented.
