碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 90 === Recently networking technology and E-Learning standards have been developed and deployed on Web-based learning. Instructors on information technology should utilize the tools and technology to provide learners a collaborative platform with shareable and reusable learning resources. In this study, a comprehensive model for content management is presented, and a Web-based Learning Management Server is designed and implemented with the Open Source Software development methodology. Based on the metadata model in the SCORM specification, multiple service modules are developed into this system, including courseware management, metadata management, membership management, workflow management, assessment module, and search engine for Chinese contents. The proposed system facilitates collaboration on site building, courseware packaging and situated learning process via a consistent and ease-to-manage Web-based interface. It is a cost-effective courseware platform for educational resource sharing and information technology specialist training.
