Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 90 === This thesis addresses the research of availability, reliability, maintainability and their application to a gun system. The maintenance data of the gun system serviced in military are used to evaluate the availability of the weapon system (assemblies). Availability information is further used for planning the effective maintenance schedule. The A-type gun system developed by Combined Logistics Command was selected as the example in this research. The maintenance data of the gun, which reflects the failure and maintenance conditions have been collected and analyzed. The reliability and maintenance engineering of the gun were not simultaneously developed in the design phase, therefore, this research established a reliability model for the weapon systems and the assemblies to obtain the MTBF, MTTR and availability by using the case study through the statistical theory of the availability, reliability, maintainability. A simple system analysis model is proposed to analyze the availability, reliability, and maintenance for gun systems and other military equipment. The model can be used to find the causes of failure, to improve the availability, to evaluate the logistic support capacity, and to aid full control of the service condition for the weapon systems. The results show that not only down time and maintenance time of the system can be reduced instantly, but also the MTBF and availability are increased provided that the failure condition of PSU, electrical assembly and the under carriage are improved. In addition, it is also proved that the use of maintenance data and estimation of the availability is a feasible solution to provide the availability information for current gun systems in service.
