The data were analyzed according to the grounded theory method (GT) and three different aspects from the employees, employers and assistants were discussed and compared. After conducting a field investigation, the collected data were induced and deduced in terms of the methodology in this study. Major findings included: 1. As to the design or supply the cognition and requirements of assistive technology: (1) The handicapped employees went through four stages. They were “identifying and playing their roles,” “expressing their needs,” “using strategies and methods,” and “presenting outcomes.” (2) The employers went through three stages, including “playing their roles,” “confirming autonomy,” and “expressing their needs.” (3) The assistants went through three stages. They were “extending thinking directions,” “meeting needs,” and “yielding benefits.” 2. The mutual influences: The handicapped employees and employers interacted when assistive technology were supplied. It meant if the employers situated high above in pressing their needs, the handicapped workers would be submissive and show strong self-control; and vice versa. 3. The aspects of supply and demand in reality: The assistants and the handicapped employees were the decision makers and the users of assistive technology in job redesign. The assistants extended their concerns to carefully observe and think the problems in handicapped employments. However, the handicapped employees care more about the property of the work, the responses of their employers and their own psychological conditions. The concerns of handicapped workers were different from that of the assistants. Sheng-Houng Lin Chang-franw Lee 林盛宏 李傳房 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 210 zh-TW
