Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 通訊工程研究所 === 90 === Smart antenna, consisting of a set of antenna arrays and appropriate array signal process algorithms, can reduce delay spread, mitigate multipath fading, eliminate co-channel interference, improve BER performance, transmission efficiency and increase system capacity. Therefore, the third generation personal communication system, IMT-2000, may adopt smart antenna technology to improve its system performance. The adaptive antenna array is a core technique of the smart antenna implementation, then direction of arrival (DOA) estimation is an important segment of antenna array signal processing. To detect the azimuth of the incoming source is so-called DOA estimation. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the direction of arrival estimation algorithms and to simulate the data sets generated from the computer. We take the number of antennas, SNR, number of users, and angular separation into consideration and make the comparison of DOA algorithms. Finally, we put the experimental data measured at the anechoic chamber of Tatung university into the DOA algorithms and then make the estimations.
