The great similarities of students make them the potential audiences of museums. Therefore, they have become a developable target audience. Currently, the subject integrated courses, field trips, and the utilization of the social resources are the major concerns of the 9-Year Joint Curricula Plan for Elementary and Junior High schools in Taiwan, and which contribute to the cooperation of schools and museums. This study was conducted by literature review, questionnaire survey, on-sight interview, and quasi-experimental design. From the two different aspects of the school and the museum, this study tries to explore how the art education of schools and museums interact on each other, and what is the best way to cooperate with each other in the future. I hope this study can enhance the understanding between schools and museums, and make them work together to develop the museum education curricula (KITS). This research finds out that even though there is no organized institution to integrate the museum and the school, and also there is a different perception that they have in the education of museums, most museum staffs agree the importance of educational activities of museums. Besides, schoolteachers who like to attend the seminars hold by the museums show their high interest in working with museums to develop the curricular of educational activities. Therefore, there are still much chance of the cooperation between schoolteachers and museum staffs. However, it was found that in most cases the staffs of museums often have loads of work to do and have no time and energy to develop and design the educational curricular and activities. Therefore, it’s suggested that museum staffs should communicate with teachers before conducting an exhibition tour in order to understand the background and knowledge of students. It helps to avoid the usage of academic terms and keep good interaction with students. Moreover, a design of thematic activities helps to interpret the topic of the exhibition. 徐純 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 155 zh-TW
