Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 90 === This thesis (Creative Arts) contains four parts. In the first part, I explain the motif of my art work, which includes why I choose to use memory as a way to reach my unconscious; how I make self-examination by remembering of the things past; how I face the trauma in life by presenting it in my art work; and finally how does the creation of art work become a kind of self-realization and self-acceptance to me. In the second part, I do some research about the two artists: Louis Bourgeois, and Magdalena Abakanowicz who gave me lots of inspiration and influence. The research consists of a simple introduction to their background, and through different aspects to explain their work. Meanwhile, by comparing the formal style or meanings of their art work and mine, to discuss how their work has influenced the way I express myself. In the third part, I explain my art work through formal analysis which includes the organic shape, transparent characteristic, projection of shadow, and the relationship between time and space etc. At the same time, I interpret the meanings of “weaving” that I weave relationship, memories, people, time, space, and found object around me in my art work. The final part is the conclusion, which I make some critical judgment on my art creation and this thesis and also, discuss about the future development both on the formal and technical part of my art work
