description 碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 科學教育研究所 === 90 === Abstract The purpose of this research is to study how the parent''s participation influence the student''s learning on science. It is especially the effect on the student''s active attitude on learning science, the achievement test for learning Bio-science concept and the skill for learning basic science processes. This research adopts the quasi-experimental design to study the effect of the pupil on learning science. The design of this research is quasi-experimental research, divided into an experiment group (E) and a control group (C). The experiment group has attended the “Bio-camp”, an experimental process, but the control group not. Besides, apply all children of the two groups to “Skill Test for Basic Science Process”, “Questionnaire for Learning Attitude on Science” and “Achievement Test for Bio-science Concept” before and after such experimental process. The object of this research is the 4th-grade students of an elementary school (hereafter as “A school”) in Ta-an District of Taipei City.  The researcher hold a winter “Bio-camp”, simulate another elementary school in the same Ta-an District of Taipei (hereafter as “B school”) and examine results  of  the  teaching  activities  of  the  “Bio-camp”. The experimental tool of this research includes “Achievement Test for Bio-science Concept”, “Questionnaire for Learning Attitude on Natural Science” and “Skill Test for Basic Science Processes”. Besides, the researcher collected such data as “Feedback List for the Teaching Activity”, “Notebook”, “Teaching Activity Record Video” and “Questionnaire for the Student’s Patriarch” to understand the learning situation of the student as participating in the “Bio-camp”. When the researcher analyzed the information of “Achievement Test for Bio-science Concept”, “Questionnaire for Learning Attitude on Natural Science” and “Skill Test for Basic Science Processes”, the researcher used the participation of the “Bio-camp” as an independent variable, the pretest as a covariate variable and the posttest as dependent variable to analyze the covariate variable. The “Feedback List for the Teaching Activity” adopts the statistical analysis and the qualitative analysis. Then, “Notebook”, “Teaching Activity Record Video” and “Ques- tionnaire for the Student’s Patriarch” and etc. adopt the qualitative analysis. The simple results of the study show it beneath: 1. The result of “Achievement Test for Bio-science Concept” shows that those who participate in the winter Bio-camp are planned learning members. And, their performances on the grade of the animal concept and the total test are better than that of the student of the control group, who doesn’t participate in the winter Bio-camp for free learning. But, on the concept of plants and ecosystem, there is no significant difference between experimental group and control group. 2. The result of “Skill Test for Science Processes” shows that those who participate in the winter Bio-camp are planned learning members. And, their performances on the grade of observation, comparative and classification, organization and involvement, induction and inference, and communication, test is better than that of the student of the control group, who doesn’t participate in the winter Bio-camp for free learning. 3. The result of “Questionnaire for Learning Attitude on Natural Science” shows that those who participate in the winter Bio-camp are planned learning members. And, their attitudes for natural science class and for nature-class teachers, and their performances on the learning motivation and strategy for natural science are better than that of the student of the control group, who doesn’t participate in the winter Bio-camp for free learning. In addition, the researcher can conclude the following from the qualitative information: 1. The students show that they like the activities of the “Winter Bio-camp” very much. Especially, they are very satisfied with the outdoor teaching activities. They can fully engage in all kinds of learning activities and attentively fill out the “Feedback List for Teaching Activity” and the “Picture Notebook”. 2. There are some differences on the expression between girls and boys. Boys prefer to express by pictures but girls like to describe by words. 3. The patriarch very supports the activities of the “Winter Bio-camp” and also hopes the researcher can continue to hold the 2nd term of the activities. However, they hope the problem of the camping team and too noisy of the classroom can be under control. 4. The patriarch is the most satisfied with the outdoor teaching effect and the number of participators is also the most. They feel it is very good and suggest the outside-school visiting activity can be increased. 5. For the participation, the patriarch feels that “they can free more time to join and provide help on explanation and consultation”, “assist to find information”, “copy the information, collect and distribute the equipments”, “help to lead children to avoid from lost”, “maintain the order”, and etc. Finally, some suggestions for the parent-participation on the children’s education and improving the nature science, expanding creative nature of mind in science, and for further studies, based on the results of the research.
