Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 機械工程學系 === 90 === This study was aimed at PMMA after absorption of saturated methanol and ethanol solvent at 60°C, and then immerging into distilled water for desorbing at 40°C up to 90°C, in order to form porous structure by using phase separation. This study will be divided into three portions to study on a generating mechanism of holes, the transmission reduction of scattering hole induced, the effects of tensile vs. the hole formed. The experimental results indicate that the weight gain of samples for PMMA will be increased with the increasing interval and temperature of hydrolysis while desorbing at deionized water after absorption of saturated organic solvent, and the weight gain in ethanol system more than methanol system. It will be easy to form holes with the configuration of closed type at low hydrolyzed temperature; and a lot of holes with the configuration of ellipse type will appear on surface of sample at the relative lower temperature, the major axis of the ellipse holes will be parallel to the direction of mass transform, the open type will be occurred at higher hydrolyzed temperature. The holes caused by the hydrolyzed effect of samples will induce the scattering effects of a light beam. Eventually, the transmission of incident ray will decrease. Meanwhile the transmission will decrease with the increasing interval and temperature of hydrolysis. For the transmission lost, ethanol caused will be more significant than methanol. For the transmission I and the wave length λ, the expression between them can be written as Is=aλ-n, where a and n will decrease with the increasing interval and temperature of hydrolysis. While PMMA was absorbing saturated organic solvent, and then was tensed to a specific elongation before being immerged at deionized water for hydrolysis, finally to find the weigh gain of the samples after tensile test is as same as the samples never conducted tensile test. Typically, the weight gain will increase with the increasing interval and temperature of hydrolysis. But to compare the samples after tensile test with the samples never conducted tensile test, the weight gain of the prior one will be less than the later, and to observe the ellipse hole of the prior one will be small than the later on the same conditions. Due to tensile effects to make polymer chain with orientation arrangement in result to increase amount and size of holes anomalous, not increasingly.
