The power quality events could be resulted as motor overheating, communication interference and malfunction of protection devices in the power systems. Consequently, the power quality problems should be investigated for finding the solutions to improve the power quality. The thesis proposes a parametric approach (wavelet transform) and a nonparametric approach (neural network) to assess the power quality events. Moreover we utilize the fuzzy inference to determine the level on the power quality disturbance. Finally, to verify the performance of the proposed approach, many disturbance cases generated by Matlab program are tested. YingTung Hsiao 蕭瑛東 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 118 zh-TW
