| Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 會計學系 === 90 === The paper measures the relative technical efficiency of criminal investigation of Taipei police precinct headquarters from 1992 to 2000 by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The paper also tries to find out the determinants of the relative technical efficiency by tobit regression analysis. The main purpose of the paper is to find out the determinants that make the relative technical efficiency of criminal investigation of the police precinct headquarters differ.
The results of the paper show some things noticeable. First, the capacity of police allocation and the relative technical efficiency have negative relation. Second, the financial supports of field works of criminal investigation and the relative technical efficiency also have negative relation. Finally, the workload of police and the relative technical efficiency have positive relation. The last result shows the contribution of Taipei police precinct headquarters to the public security of Taipei, although it is not statistically significant.
