Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築學系 === 90 === Amidst the social and economic transformation, many people today begins seriously pondering into how to locate more diversified available comfortable spaces for leisure-time life without spoiling ecological environments. As a natural result, lots of coasts, riverbanks and ditches have been developed into ecological preserves and put into reuse. On the other hand, they tend to overlook those trenches enriched with historic and cultural charms. As a result, trenches and such channels have become obsolete. Such farmland and water conservancy facilities have been ruthlessly damaged by human error. The present study is therefore, intended to formulate databases oriented to farmland and water conservancy facilities in north of Keelung River Taipei. The study would search into the characteristics of the trenches and facilities so as to look into the problems confronting them currently and their future potential. We further choose Futehyang Channel as the specific object for in-depth study. Meanwhile, taking ditch channels reuse related planning cases, we will study and offer policies and proposals for reuse and offer proposals for preservation so that in the future those trenches in Taipei area will be put into irrigation use as well as maximized into the historic, industrial, leisure-time functions. The present study is classified into six chapters/sections: Chapter I “Introduction” This Chapter mainly aims on motivation, objectives, contents, methodology, procedures, objectives and scope of the study. Chapter II “The evolution of trenches in Chihsing Water Conservative Association Taipei and the overall status” The contents are in three parts: Part I: Collection of literatures of trenches in Chihsing Water Conservative Association Taipei; Part II: Preliminary field survey of Chihsing Water Conservative Association Taipei, including hands-on drawing, on-the-spot records and observations, with formulated databases of the Chihsing Water Conservative Association Taipei trenches; Part III: Organized analysis of the trenches so surveyed and organized to probe into the trenches, the status quo and potential in rebirth. The subjects and potential will be taken as the objects of the present study. Chapter III “Futehyang Channel, the Survey & Status quo Analysis” More specifically, the study takes Futehyang Channel trunk as the object of study which is to build Futehyang Channel trunk databases, ditch channel characteristics, retaining embankment in cross-section view, ditch channel peripheral characteristics, status quo of land use and industrial relics with organization and analysis. Chapter IV Problems currently confronting the “ditch channels” and the countermeasures: Under Chapter III, the in-depth survey into Futehyang Channel trunk, the study will launch in-depth analysis of reuse in three parts in total. In part I, on grounds of the survey finding, we can analyze the key problems currently confronting the ditch channel trunks and the potential of reuse. In Part II, on grounds of the current subjects and potential, we offer such orientations and frameworks of ditch channels reuse. In Part III, we convert the obtained data into usable resources and, in turn, offer the construct of reuse to have the existent ditch channel trunks combined with live and ecological environments to work out feasible projects of ditch channels renovation and reuse. Chapter V “Conclusion and Proposals” On grounds of the Futehyang Channel Trunk Databases thus formulated, digging characteristics, functions of use, historical and cultural relics, the study will offer proposals on the Futehyang Channel Trunk reuse as well as the orientation for the future studies.
