What makes Fa-Tzang differ from Du-Shun and Zhi-Yian is that he demonstrated related arguments about the thought of Three Natures, and these arguments arising from the concepts in “Yogacara” are further demonstrated by Fa-Tzang. Previous research literatures only concentrate on explaining the meaning of text itself, without detailed discussions of the depth meaning in advance. Therefore, those issues about “kong you”、“zhen wang”and the harmony between nature and form aren’t well researched. From this point of view, this paper is going to conduct similar studies. The research ideas are as follows: In the 1th chapter “Introduction”, after introduction and review of present researches, the motivation, methodologies, and the purpose of this paper will be showed. In the 2th chapter “the explanation and criticism of Fa-Tzang about “Yogacara” and the thought of Three Natures”, it is trace back to“Yogacara”. Then under the structure of Fa-Tzang’s “Five types” , how Fa-Tzang explains “Yogacara” and his reasons will be examined. Additionally, how Fa-Tzang demonstrated the thought of Three Natures of “Yogacara” and his criticism will be discussed further. In the 3th chapter “Fa-Tzang’s opinion to integration and stress in the thought of Three Natures of “Yogacara” , we follow the criticism that the previous chapters have mentioned about the thought of Three Natures of “Yogacara” and discuss the issue of new explanation. On the one hand, this paper will provide the structure of the thought of para-tantra-svabhAva through AZvaghoSa’s discourse on the awakening of faith in the MahAyAna; on the other hand, it will develop the subject of Fa-Tzang’s opinion on para-tantra-svabhAva and parikalpita- svabhAva and trace back to MahAyAna-saMgraha-bhASya translated by ParamArtha. In the 4th chapter “the integration of “Two Truths” in Fa-Tzang’s the thought of Three Natures” , we discuss how Fa-Tzang brings the concept of “zhen wang” “andzhen sui” into the thought of Three Natures. Through the thread of thought, on the one hand, we discuss the dispute of “kong you” since Jei-Xian and Zhi-Guang developed in India; and on the other hand, we discuss the transformation of these meanings. In the 5th chapter “the meaning of the harmony between nature and form in Fa-Tzang’s the thought of Three Natures”, further discuss the issue of the harmony between nature and form based on previous chapter will be revealed. First, it is the issue of the harmony between nature and form from the ideas of “zhen wang jiao che” and “kong you bu er”. Secondly, there are three arguments through the discussion of definition and the insights in words, then the definition and meaning of the harmony between nature and form from Fa-Tzang’s the thought of Three Natures will be developed. Thirdly, through the discussion of Hegel’s opinions about Identity is identity of difference and identity, the meaning that Fa-Tzang developed will be demonstrated. Finally, going back to the structure of “Five types” and ”Four types” the structure and position of Fa-Tzang’s the thought of Three Natures will be clarified anew. In the 6th chapter “conclusion”, it is not only to make a complete conclusion about this paper, but also demonstrate the suggestions and prospects for future study.
