In order to get modal parameters, two types of excitation method are employed. One is the impact hammer, the other is the self-designed square pressure wave generator (SPWG) which can generate the hydraulic pressure with constant frequency or sweep frequency to get the exact modal parameter of hydraulic pipes. The relation between the two excitation methods is also discussed. The SPWG has the features of high power and actual mode of aeroelastic excitation about dynamic test; therefore it is helpful for the vibration test of aero-pipe. The results show that both the pipes with stagnant fluid and the pipe with fluid of structural modal could effectively excited by the square pressure wave test. Compared with the hammer test, both the results of test are approximations. The hydraulic excitation really not the vibration of single direction, thus the result obtained from square pressure wave test could express more the actual phenomenon.
