Though dispersion management can reduce the FWM power, FWM still is a serious problem in the narrow channel spacing of DWDM transmission system. In this paper, the first we use various dispersion of non-zero dispersion shifted fiber (NZDSF) to simulate a DWDM system with 10Gb/s, 8channel, 400km and channel spacing of 04nm. Then we find the relationship between the chromatic dispersion of the transmission fiber and the transmission performance in DWDM system. It shows that the optimum dispersion value exit around 6 to 11 ps/nm/km. Next we adds the channel 8 to 14 in the same system. It shows the optimum dispersion value around 8 to 9 ps/nm/km. We hope this result can supply to a suggestion in manufacture fiber in the future. Po-Chou Lai 賴柏洲 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW
