Through the analysis, discussion and improvement in these five chapters, I hope to identify the optimum logistics for the automobile industry and for reducing waste to enhance competitiveness, especially considering Taiwan''s upcoming membership in WTO. In the narrow sense of the term, this study contributes to efficacy and profits for the company that I study. In a wider sense of the term, this study compares the same function of five competitors for finding opportunities for cooperation that will be result in cost reductions and will enhance service efficacy through a united logistics center. The center would utilize the same process steps and the same distribution functions. Major sections of this study are taken from the company at which I am currently employed. In consideration of business confidentiality, I have shortened some of the study''s information. This company currently has plans to improve its logistics processes; therefore this study combines the theme and on-site inspection for studying distribution management for potential future applicability. for The Automobile Industry in Taiwan
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze Supply Chain Distribution Management for the Automobile Industry in Taiwan. Distribution management is different between the Automobile Industry and other industries. In this study real object processes are investigated and then analyzed for reducing unreasonable processes to prevent waste. Achieving these logistics goals is a function of professionalism, precision, and efficacy. This thesis consists of five chapters, Chapter 1-- Introduction: The problem of the study, its background factors, methods and motive of the study, and steps of improvement, Chapter 2 -- Study of literature: Issues in the literature of seniority, and technical terms defined for reference, Chapter 3 -- Study Methods: Results of visits and investigations, including numerical value of information in Automobile Industry in Taiwan for comparisons, Chapter 4 -- Study and Analysis Example: The optimum process of Distribution Management will be found and analyzed from the information example, Chapter 5 -- Conclusion and Suggestions: Reliable formulas and directions of improvement are studied in the conclusion.
