As electronic platforms embracing computers and networks become more and more important in our daily life, corresponding IT (Information Technology) now turn out to be an essential part of business operations. Under this circumstance, most industrial firms are seeking an appropriate way to introduce e-SCM (supply chain management) operations into industries to approve their efficiency and competitiveness.
More importantly, an integrated e-procurement system is the objective of joint efforts by members along supply chain in the information industry. However, the implementation of e-procurement involves different business firms that operate independently.
To expect the members of the supply chain to make commitment to the implementation of e-procurement, manufacturers should consider the benefits of their suppliers while pursuing their own benefit. More specifically, the purpose of this research is to explore the performance indicators of e-SCM from both buyers’ and customers’ viewpoints. Our study tried to identify a set of performance indicators for evaluating e-procurement which are related to the business competitive criteria of cost, quality, and time.
