The problem of defective motherboard assembly, about 80 percent, is caused by manufacture process. Therefore, the most important of manufacture process improvement is discovered the improperness and analyze the problem to find the method. In the past, the defective analysis is according to the experience and skill of experts. Owing to the dimensions of manufacture process management are quite widely, the Case-Base Reasoning is a tool of knowledge management and increase the capability of process analysis and management through information technology. CBR and expert system is proposed in this research, in order to analyze problem real-time and management, the defect (e.g. short, insufficient , cold solder etc.) is classified to structure the database of motherboard defective analysis and use the quality control seven methods. Besides the CBR and expert system, the related people can use the process analysis system to share the knowledge and experience through web-based architecture. In this research, the analysis system is a solving method for a motherboard factory. Through the analysis system the time of problem analysis reduce 50 percent, offer the cause of defective and solving method, increase the capability of process analysis and management, decrease cost, and improve the competition. The feedback on information can used to the optimal of manufacture process parameter to reduce the defect. The analysis system may apply to the training tool and increase experience to achieve the purpose of knowledge management.
