The purpose of this study is heavy metal distribution on western estuary and southwest coast of Taiwan. Collecting deposits of surface layers of western estuary and coast of Zeng-Wen stream in Taiwan, the content of aluminum and thin grained mud (clay and silt) are positive relativity highly (R2 =0.78). It can calibrate the contents of heavy metal that is affected by the size of grain from aluminum.
The environment of deposits in estuary, artificial transport and action of create rock affect the distribution of contents of heavy mental of deposits in the core of rock. The contents of heavy mental in lower deep layers are the lowest in the whole core of rock and the contents are similar. Maybe they are nature background valves of the contents of heavy metal of deposits in the area of our study. Applying this background valves and assess contents of heavy mental of deposits in the western estuary and coast of Zeng- Wen stream in Taiwan. Because industrialization develop rapidly, the amounts of waste water from factories and household sewage eliminate to river increase gradually, it cause different level pollution of heavy metal in estuary and coast. Heavy mental distribution of deposits in coast is affect by tide, topography of seabed and diffusion via waves.
