description 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 兒童福利研究所 === 90 === This study aims to examine the life styles of the adolescents in single families and further to understand their subculture. In addition, this study tries to explore the alienation of the adolescents and find out the indicators, which can establish the causal model of alienation and life styles. Finally, this study will propose the guidelines for guidance and intervention. This study includes 623 subjects selected from Taiwan area. The subjects’ ages are between 12 and 18 years. Those subjects are selected from a stratified fixed sampling method, using questionnaire survey to investigate variables, such as the demographic data, parenting interaction scale, peer interaction scale, self-esteem scale, locus of control scale, achievement motivation scale, alienation scale, and life style scale. The data analysis used SPSS for Windows (10th ed.), including factor analysis, frequency distribution, t test, one way between ANOVA, Pearson correlation, canonical analysis, stepwise multiple regression, discriminated analysis and path analysis. The results are: 1. The indicators can be used to predict the adolescents’ alienation are other oriented life style, family esteem, body image, parent-child physical interaction, peer psychological interaction, goal oriented, locus of control, parent-child psychological interaction, scholastic esteem, and age. The variances accounted for by those variables are 55.5%. The other oriented life style is the most predictive variable for the adolescents’ alienation. 2. The indicators can be used to predict the adolescents’ life styles. The cognitive-oriented life style can be accounted for by the indicators, such as scholastic esteem, parent-child physical interaction, peer physical interaction, goal oriented, loneliness, and interpersonal esteem. The variance can be predicted as 33.8% of those variables and scholastic esteem can be used to predict the adolescents’ alienation the most. The sensation-oriented life style can be accounted for by the indicators such as parent-child psychological interaction, sense of normlessness, peer physical interaction, peer psychological interaction, parent-child physical interaction, locus of control, interpersonal oriented, goal oriented, and loneliness. The variances accounted for by those variables are 25.2%. The parent-child psychological interaction is the most predictive one among those variables. The other-oriented life style can be accounted for by the indicators, such as hopelessness, peer psychological interaction, competition oriented, parent-child physical interaction, parent-child psychological interaction, and scholastic esteem. The variance can be predicted as 50.9% of those variables and hopelessness is the most predictive variable for the other-oriented life style. 3. There is a significant relationship found by using Person’s correlation and canonical analysis to examine alienation and life styles of the adolescents in the single families. The more the adolescents’ alienation is, the less inclination the adolescents engage in the cognitive-oriented life style; the more inclination the adolescents engage in the sense-oriented life style and other-oriented life style, the more the adolescents’ alienation is. 4. There are some prohibitive causal models found in the path analysis, such as social interaction→achievement motivation→self perception→alienation→cognitive-oriented life style;social interaction→achievement motivation→self perception→alienation→sensation-oriented life style;social interaction→achievement motivation→self perception→alienation→other-oriented life style;social interaction→achievement motivation→self perception→cognitive-oriented life style→alienation;social interaction→achievement motivation→self perception→sensation-oriented life style→alienation;social interaction→achievement motivation→self-perception→other-oriented life style→alienation. If taking away the variable of alienation from the whole cause model, then social interaction→achievement motivation→self-perception→cognitive-oriented life style is the full causal model.
