Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 設計研究所 === 90 === Environmental dramatically change of modern industries, market demands, and all kinds of technological continuously development have shortened product development process so that efficiency of design consultancy is obviously essential. All kinds of design process must include design selective process that is an interaction behavior of proposal and decision-making and is a key factor of industrial design project process whether smooth or not. Therefore, the motivation of research is to discuss with a design consultancy how to promote customers who make a decision smoothly while a proposal submission. The purpose of this research has (1) understanding design proposal of domestic industrial design consultancy today, (2) comparing with domestic and oversea industrial design consultancy and different products of proposal contents on similarities or dissimilarities, and (3) research on design consultancy how to improve efficiency of decision-making.
The research uses questionnaire interview, data analysis, and interview with famous experts of domestic industrial design consultancy, follow-up questionary, and analyzing Industrial Development Bureau that promotes 60 project design reports of “a plan of product design ability advancement”. Finally, make a general discussion and promote a conclusion as the four specific suggestions of design consultancy proposal how to increase efficiency of making-decision:
1. Besides concept presentation files, a design consultancy should promote enough design research files to make a general design guideline and illustrate each design concept from professional idea of completely strategy instead of make-up. When a customer has any concept that can hardly be solved, each research of design files can be a powerful statement as customer’s conviction.
2. When a person proposes a scheme, he should be in charge decision-maker’s characters and customer’s organizational culture. In addition, he should select an appropriate media and location as well as taking care of appearance and behavior. Then, he has confidence to submit design proposal and express his professional skills that customers can trust and joyful during a proposal meeting.
3. A design consultancy should have a good communication with customers regularly. To ensure a design proposal that can be satisfied with customer’s demand, a design specification should have a double check. When a design condition has been changed, a design consultancy should adjust immediately after notice.
4. When signing an agreement should make sure that a design proposal can’t be smoothly to make a decision and its reason doesn’t belong to the design consultancy’s responsibility, it should pay additional design fee for submitting another proposal. Hence, this way can prevent inefficiency of decision-making and reduce a design consultancy loss while feedback loop happened.
