Two feeding ends of each primary feeder in this kind of distribution network may feed by the same transformer or by two transformers located in the same substation. The operation characteristics of these two forms of closed-loop-type distribution networks under normal and abnormal operation conditions were explored. Besides, the impacts of the DGS (Dispersed Generation System) on the closed-loop-type primary feeders were also discussed. The outcomes are of value to the power engineers when planning or building these kinds of distribution networks.
