In particular, we examine the effects of sorts and composition of blending materials on the analysis of absorption spectra, photoluminescent (PL) spectra, and electroluminescent (EL) spectra. We use poly(3-decylthiophene) (P3DT) and poly(N-vinylcarbazole)(PVK) as conjugated polymers, trimer of N-arylbenzimidazoles (TPBI)and CTCH5 as organic small-molecules. For the binary A/B blends, in which A component is P3DT and B component is PVK or CTCH5 or TPBI, due to the fact that B component transfers energy or charge to P3DT component, the emission peaks of EL spectra are closed to that of P3DT. Furthermore, in P3DT/PVK or P3DT/CTCH5 systems, with increasing the amount of B such that weight concentration of B is larger than 0.6, the emission peaks from PVK or CTCH5 occur, indicating that the energy or charge transfer is not a hundred percent. On the other hand, in P3DT/TPBI systems with any composition, as TPBI transfers energy or charge to P3DT completely, we observe no emission peaks from TPBI of the EL spectra. In CTCH5/PVK systems, the EL spectra manifest the fact that PVK transfers energy completely to CTCH5, such that there exist the only emission peaks from CTCH5.The current-voltage (I-V) analysis shows that the addition of P3DT in the blends lowers the onset voltage significantly. In CTCH5/PVK systems, we also observe that the onset voltage decreases as CTCH5 amount decreases. Ching-I Huang 黃慶怡 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW
