Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 95 === The large population and small area in Taiwan, the unbalanced supplies and need of parking spaces, the traffic, noises, air pollution caused by the motorcycles and cars, etc. have all seriously affect the living quality or even the life of human in Taiwan. Electric bicycles actively developed in the industry in the recent years provide a possible solution to these problems. This research investigates relevant issues and hopes to contribute some result to the further development of electric bicycles as well as the environmental problems. To understand and emphasize the importance of electric scooter, this study collects related information of the electric bicycle, the environment protection, the transportation, the bicycle design, and people’s living styles from Taiwan’s local sources as well as international literature. Three dimensions of investigation of the “light-weighted, electric scooter”are the base of this research: “technology”, “market”, and “security”. A summarizing analysis of the three factors by ways of the data analysis, the literature survey, the questionnaire, the interview of experts, and the field work, yields to the following result: The most important six trends of the“light-weighted, electric scooter”are the fashionable design, new features, the light weight of the vehicle, the security, the ease of folding, and the environment-friendliness. The result is crosschecked by examining the real industrial production and the actual road tests. The result of this research corresponds to the reason why the government promotes electric bicycles in replacement of current motored vehicles as one of the major strategies of protecting the environment. It also explains why the inefficiency and immature related traffic laws impeded the development of electric scooter. We conclude that producing the electric bicycles of attractive styles, providing acceptable price and functions, and passing laws on opening more bicycle routes and restricting the number of cars and motorcycles using polluting motors, are the most important work to be done at present to decrease the burden of the environment. In another word, the new picture of an improved environment can only be drawn cooperatively by designer, producer, consumer, and the policy makers.
