There are three goals in this system: ⑴ to store data of the material properties of steel sheets, ⑵ to provide engineers with material reference, and ⑶ to apply it in computer aided engineering (CAE). The parameters stored in this database system can be determined by material experiment and analysis.
This system will help engineers to select material in design process. Taking the tailored blank for example, the formability of tailored blank is affected by the properties of the main material. By using computer simulation, the relationship of material properties and formability of tailored blank can be determined, and the designer can refer the simulation results to select material by using the database system.
