Second part of the thesis suggests the design of a high-precision contouring controller based on an intelligence control method. Before using this method an experienced engineer can tune the machine to the precision of 5~6μ. After using this control method the precision improves to 2.3μ. Third part of the thesis suggests the design of a high-speed rigid-tapping tracking controller also based on another intelligence control method. Without the feedforward control structure the error is as large as 568μ when spindle is at the speed of 1000rpm. With the feedforward tracking controller but without the designed intelligence control method reduces error to 71μ at the same speed. With the intelligence control method the precision improves to 8~9μ at the speed of 1000rpm. Applying this method to rigid tapping at higher speed, the error at 2000rpm is 18~19μ and error at 3000rpm is 31μ. The result is good and through the HGA method reducion of controller order is succesfully made to improve the efficiency of computer computation of real-time control law.
