A part of researches of this method is to restore the standing function to paraplegic. However, many researches in this field have no objective evaluation for the patient-driven system make paraplegics stand up and sit down. For objectively evaluating, we establish an arm-supported system for standing and sitting function and develop a properly control system make paraplegics stand up from a wheelchair with a modified walker, then evaluate the results after adjusting difference controller parameters and using by more patients. The controlling method is considering the acquired value of arm-supported force and leg angles to be the feedback signal changing the intensity of stimulator, which make paraplegics stand up and sit down with suitable muscle force. To sum up, this study has three main phases: constructing the system, collecting the clinical experiment data and evaluating objectively. In constructing the system phase, establishing the measurement system which measures handle transducer’s reaction force and leg angles is done. In collecting the clinical experiment data phase, putting the relation of electrical stimulation intensity between legs moment into the controlling program is done. Finally, the aim is evaluating the data collected from using the system by paraplegics to find out the best controlling parameters with the objective evaluation we establish.
