It is also known that a trellis code with multilevel coding scheme can provide a large free distance. In this thesis, we proposed a space-time code scheme with a multilevel delay processor. In chapter 2, we briefly review the structure of the multilevel delay processor with a signal mapper, which it can provide a large free distance. We also review the space-time trellis code with its encoding scheme and design criterion for slow and fast fading channels. In chapter 3, two delay processor schemes were implementing with the space-time trellis code under slow fading channel. Here we use the Viterbi decoder, MAP decoder and SOVA decoder. Also we give the simulation results in this chapter. In chapter 4, we consider the proposed scheme under fast fading channel.
