The orchard was located on Ta-an Riverside (大安溪),Taichung County. The Heng-shan pear tree were ten years old, planted in 8×8m2 space, and trained in pergola trellis. The average temperature under MCRS is 4-5℃, 2-3℃ and 2-3℃ higher respectively, in 280 cm, 180 cm above ground and 30cm underground as compared to the open field in the winter blight day. Through the length of blooming period was same, the anthesis of Hosui floral scion from Japan in MCRS was only 1-3 days earlier, and the flowering rate was 20% more and up to 60% as compared to those transgrafted in the open field. There was no significant difference in the flowering of transgrafted scions between single and double curtains rain shelter, however the final fruit set was even lower than that of early transgrafted (Dec. 30) in the open field. Scions imported from Japan bloomed earlier and had higher flowering rate than that of harvested in Mei-feng, however there was no difference in final fruit set. The growing fruit weight did not increase fastly until 105 days AFB, and there is no significant difference between fruits grown in MCRS and open field. In 8×8 m2 space, the transgrafted fruits are mainly located on the scaffold of 0-350cm from the trunk, and the average fruit weight of pear grown in the open field was a little bit higher than that grown in MCRS. In Dongshr(東勢), the sprout growing on Heng-shan pear does not stop until Sep.9, and the thickness of water sprout was inversely proportional to the distance from the trunk. The single bud cutting indicated that the floral buds of Hosui pear imported from Japan burst normaly as early as Dec. 20. Nevertheless, buds harvested in Mei-feng didn’t show the high percentage bursting rate until Feb. 24. 陳中 李金龍 侯文祥 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 42 zh-TW
