Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 90 === The structure design of building structure is the key issue in the field of engineering. The safety of building structure is strongly related to the lives and properties of lots of people. When designing a building, it costs a lot of time and money and the operation must be calculated and checked for several times to ensure that the safety of building structure. As a result of that, automatic design system is developed for the structure design of buildings in order to reduce the cost of time and money. By precise and high-speed calculations of computers, the time spent for design can be reduced and the accuracy of design results can be raised. Because that steel buildings are common and the behavior of steel structure can be predicted more easily now, the automatic design system developed is mainly focused on the design of steel buildings.
Automatic system theories are introduced in the first part of this paper in order to establish the foundation of the design system. In the second part of this paper, the design specifications and principles of the system are mentioned to let the users know what the building designed from the system should meet. Then, some design examples of the system are illustrated and the advantages and disadvantages of the system are discussed. The fruits of this paper will be one of the references for the automatic design of building structures.
