(2)What attitudes of person with disability, family, employer and institution have that employment specialists would encounter in the supported employment? (3)Which roles and functions of employment specialists play in the supported employment? This research’s sample is the employment specialist, because they play an important role in the supported employment. This research is an exploratory research and it uses the qualitative research method and nonrandom sampling’s stratified purposive sampling. The researcher interviews 8 employment specialists. This research uses semi-standardized guide depth interview to collect the data. Besides, this research also emphasizes research ethics and rigorousness in order to make sure the reliability and validity of the research. According to the analysis of the data, there are three findings of this research. (1)Employment specialists’ work situation The result of occupation evaluation could not work because employment specialists could not control the employability of person with disability and create new choices about the kinds of occupation. The employment specialists also suffer a lot of disability factors from the social environment when they try to create the occupation for person with disability. The gap of the transition service system from school to labor market makes person with disability unable to learn occupation skills and habits from the vocational education. There are practical and administrative difficulties in our supported employment services. The policy doesn’t take the individual variance of person with disability into consideration. Moreover, the supported employment service doesn’t have enough money to work the system. (2)The factor that effect employment specialists Person with disability usually have a positive attitude to the supported employment. The work expectation of person with disability is an important factor for the supported employment. The higher work expectation and willingness they have, the more stable they will be in their work. Families also agree with the supported employment, and think the supported employment is good for them and person with disability. Employers, in general, stand with the supported employment on condition that the abilities and skills of person with disability must meet employers’ expectation. In employment specialists’ opinion, if institutions provide practical resources and emotional supports, they could make person with disability into the labor market sooner and easier. (3)Employment specialists’ roles and functions Employment specialists are the bridge between person with disability, family, employer and institution. They communicate with these people, pool resources together and relocate them. What they do are just like a case manager. According to the research findings, there are some suggestions. (1)Employment specialist To establish professional license system, To establish professional training system, To found the association of employment specialist, To enhance the professional division of services, To ensure employment specialists’ job stable. (2)Person with disability To foster their positive work attitude, To search job opportunity according to the work interest, To enhance the validity of vocational evaluation, To enrich the variety of the kinds of occupation, To provide long-term support services. (3)Family To foster families’ proper concept of employment, To found the group of family member. (4)Employer To foster employers’ proper concept of employment, To find natural supporters, To establish adequate reward system, To enlarge legal employment system. (5)Institution To enhance the supervision system, To increase flexibility of case loading, To improve staff’s understand toward employment specialists, To hold professional discussing meeting, To have many different employment models. (6)Others To design adequate files for different disability, To ensure the administrative transition service program works well, To establish social supports web.
