Summary: | 碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 90 === The wake flow behind a finite thin plate embedded in the neutral atmospheric boundary layer for rural terrain conditions is investigated experimentally. The experiment is carried out in an open-suction type wind tunnel, and a finite thin plate with an aspect ratio (h/w) of 1/4 is mounted vertically on the wall. Measurement of the wake velocity is made by using a hot-wire anemometer, and characteristics of the wake flow are discussed, including mean velocity profiles, turbulence intensities, Reynolds stress, and turbulence spectra. In addition, the wavelet analysis is briefly introduced, particularly in applications of the continuous wavelet transform to digital time series. Finally, turbulent velocity measured in this experiment is diagnosed by using the continuous wavelet transform in conjunction with Morlet wavelet.
