碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 家政教育研究所 === 90 === ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to investigate the framework of life management and the needs assessments about life management in Taipei, Taiwan. Questionnaire survey was used and valid data based on 766 samples were collected. “The Life Management Scale” was made by researcher, and was used in this study to identify the needs assessment of junior high school students. The data obtained were analyzed with frequency, percentile, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression through SPSS for windows. Results indicated that the junior high school students perceived they had to advance life management. The needs assessment of life management were significantly varied by gender, grade, academic record, and living with parents. Possible reasons for those discrepancies are also discussed. In addition, it was found that the gender, grade, birth order, academic record, and living with parents were factors that affected the needs assessment of life management course through the statistical regression analysis. Based on the results of this study, it was recommended that both school and family had to promote students’ competency of life management, and was proposed for future reference.
