Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 工業工程與工程管理學系 === 90 === The objective of this research is to design and develop a generic workflow management system for flexible, virtual enterprise process automation and re-engineering (BPR). The main functional modules of the system include process flow definition, instances of workflow control and monitoring, client interface, worklist handler, workflow engine, and account administration. The research efforts are divided into six steps. The first step analyzes characteristics of business processes and captures major elements of the processes for definition. The second step is to configure hardware and software environments for system development. Then, the database schema is designed and created. The fourth step implements the main functional modules of the system. The fifth step enables the web-based interfaces of functional modules for extended enterprise activities. Finally, real workflow cases are generated and tested using the prototyping system. The research contributes to the enabling of e-supply chain management (eSCM) through the development of web-based workflow management system serving extended enterprise partners.
