Many structural problems such as broken link and recurring frame may be hidden. These problems make it hard to revolve and maintain the interlinking structure of a Web site. Thus, techniques to aid in understanding and restructuring of a Web site can give Web masters significant help. This study is to design a set of integrated methods, StruWeb, to analyze and model a Web site. StruWeb employs systemized processes to gather key attributes, constructs the model of the Web structure, and identifies the hidden structural problems. It is easy to discover the change requirements of site structure from the model provided by StruWeb. StruWeb provides Web masters with a set of structural modeling methods for diagnosis of some common problems to meet real maintenance needs.
