Four hundred and seventy-eight freshmen to seniors were sampled from two teachers’ collages, two university schools, and two technologic collages of Taiwan. The instruments used were: Scale of Attachment Styles, Scale of emotional intelligence of university students, and Scale of interpersonal relationships of university students. The main findings of this study were concluded as follows: 1、 Attachment styles of the university students’ tended to preoccupied. 2、 The university students understood the reasons of emotion happened clearly by themselves. 3、 Interpersonal relationships of he university students were good. 4、 Boys of university students’ attachment styles were more tended to dismissing than girls of university students; and attachment styles in different systems of schools, collages, and grades were not different. 5、 Emotional intelligence in different sex, systems of schools, and grades were not different; and teaching collages were better than business collages in scales of emotional intelligence. 6、 Girls of university students’ scale of interpersonal relationships were higher than boys of university students; students of teachers’ collages were better than students of technologic collages in scales of interpersonal relationships; and interpersonal relationships in different collages, and grades were not different. 7、 As to the relationship between attachment styles and emotional intelligence, there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of secure and emotional intelligence; there is no relationship of attachment styles of preoccupied and emotional intelligence; there is a negative relationship of attachment styles of fearful and emotional intelligence; and there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of dismissing emotional intelligence. 8、 As to the relationship between attachment styles and interpersonal relationships, there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of secure and interpersonal relationships; there is no relationship of attachment styles of preoccupied and interpersonal relationships; there is a negative relationship of attachment styles of fearful and interpersonal relationship; and there no positive relationship of attachment styles of dismissing interpersonal relationships. 9、 As to the relationship between emotional intelligence styles and interpersonal relationships, there is a positive relationship of emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationships. 10、 The variance of interpersonal relationships can be totally explained by interpersonal emotional intelligence, understanding of self-emotion, and attachment styles of secure and fearful. Suggestions are also provided related to school educators and counselors, as well as further research. Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among spouses “attachment styles, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal relationships”, and to examine the relationship between university students’ attachment styles, emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationships.
Four hundred and seventy-eight freshmen to seniors were sampled from two teachers’ collages, two university schools, and two technologic collages of Taiwan. The instruments used were: Scale of Attachment Styles, Scale of emotional intelligence of university students, and Scale of interpersonal relationships of university students.
The main findings of this study were concluded as follows:
1、 Attachment styles of the university students’ tended to preoccupied.
2、 The university students understood the reasons of emotion happened clearly by themselves.
3、 Interpersonal relationships of he university students were good.
4、 Boys of university students’ attachment styles were more tended to dismissing than girls of university students; and attachment styles in different systems of schools, collages, and grades were not different.
5、 Emotional intelligence in different sex, systems of schools, and grades were not different; and teaching collages were better than business collages in scales of emotional intelligence.

7、 As to the relationship between attachment styles and emotional intelligence, there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of secure and emotional intelligence; there is no relationship of attachment styles of preoccupied and emotional intelligence; there is a negative relationship of attachment styles of fearful and emotional intelligence; and there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of dismissing emotional intelligence.
8、 As to the relationship between attachment styles and interpersonal relationships, there is a positive relationship of attachment styles of secure and interpersonal relationships; there is no relationship of attachment styles of preoccupied and interpersonal relationships; there is a negative relationship of attachment styles of fearful and interpersonal relationship; and there no positive relationship of attachment styles of dismissing interpersonal relationships.
9、 As to the relationship between emotional intelligence styles and interpersonal relationships, there is a positive relationship of emotional intelligence and interpersonal relationships.
10、 The variance of interpersonal relationships can be totally explained by interpersonal emotional intelligence, understanding of self-emotion, and attachment styles of secure and fearful.
Suggestions are also provided related to school educators and counselors, as well as further research.
