The subjects were 1066 students sampled randomly from the fourth,fifth and sixth grades of elementary schools in Kaohsiung.The research instruments used in this study included The Basic Backgroud Questionnaire,The family Social Economic Status Questionnaire,Locus Of Control Scale,Social Support Scale,Self-Efficacy Scale and Adolescent Coping Strategies Inventory.The research data was analyzed by descriptive statistic,t-test,One-way ANOVA ,Pearson''s Product-moment correlation,Canonical correlation,and Structural Equation Modeling. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1.Nowadays the elementary school students avoid to using “emotion-passive” coping strategies,and use “problem- constructive” coping strategies to confront daily life problems. 2.The girls’ coping strategies were superior to the boys’. 3.The fourth grade students’ coping strategies were superior to the fifth and sixth students’. 4.There were no significant differences existed among SES and coping strategies, neither school regions and coping strategies. 5.There was significant correlation among locus of control, social support, self-efficacy and coping strategies. 6.The adequacy of the corrected linear-strcture model of coping strategies in elementary school students was fine. 7.Positive self-efficacy was the major factor influencing the using of positive copong strategies. 8.Negative self-efficacy was the major factor influencing the avoidance of negative coping strategies. 9.Social support was influencing the using of positive copong strategies by positive self-efficacy. 10.Locus of control was influencing the avoidance of negative coping strategie by negative coping strategies. 11.Locus of control was influencing the using of positive copong strategies by negative self-efficacy. 12.Locus of control was influencing negative self-efficacy. 13.Social support was influencing positive self-efficacy. According to the findings and the research conclusions of the study,the study provided several suggestions for parents and teachers of elementary school students,and some propositions for further research. 張酒雄 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 156 zh-TW
